... My Instructions Should be Clear ...

We regret to inform you that it has become necessary for us to remove the extremely-popular 1700's series of stock photos from our DeviantArt Account. Unfortunately, this came to pass because several individuals who were using the stock were not following the specific rules that were set by the individual photographer of that particular set. As a result, the FantomeAngel member responsible for that series decided that it would be in their best interest to withdraw the set from use entirely.

Please be aware of and heed the rules that our members have posted for the use of their images. The rules for each member's work are always posted here on the front page and are always linked and/or posted in full in the description of each individual stock image in our gallery.

If you feel that you would like to negotiate the rules with someone regarding the use of their work, please do so prior to your employing any of our images in your artistic endeavors. As the original creators of these pictures, we do reserve the right to deny you the ability to use a work in any fashion that falls outside of the permissible guidelines we have set.

We do not relish having to post such a sobering message, but again, please respect our rights as artists and do not be offended or outraged that we wish to retain some measure of control over how others use and profit from our work.

On a more positive note, with summer impending it seems that we may have some new stock sets to share with you in the relatively near future, and we hope you will continue to enjoy and support our offerings.

Please link back to the particular page you got the stock photo from or the main site. Come on, we put major hours into this work so give us some credit.

Regarding my 1700's stock: I have put it into storage until further notice.  No this is non negotiable. Because of repeated abuse, I no longer wish to chase every one down who refuses to understand my rules and respect them and personal reasons, I have decided to take it down. If you have used it in one of your art works please credit this account and Thanks for your understanding.

Warning
Do not just take stock and just throw a filter on it, use it for a photo manipulation. Actually use it for something. Ask me before using my stock for a print more in likely I will say no. Refer to this for help FAQ #752: If my print contains an image that isn't mine, can I still use it for print?. We have worked hard to make stock for you for a none profit purpose. Thanks and enjoy.

My stock is free for the usage so long as it is not being used as part of any project to make money. Aka - please don't use my photos in a photomanip and try to sell prints of it! Link-backs to this stock account are required for work posted on dA or anywhere else, along with a note sent to me at my normal dA page to let me know what you're up to. Otherwise, have fun and I look forward to seeing the results!

Actual work, please.  A PS filter is not enough.
